SAFWAT BG LTD C/O REEDEREI NORD GMBH IS SEEKING TO EMPLOY EU CADETS WHICH WILL GRADUATE NAVAL ACADEMY & TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF VARNA: DECK, ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL FOR DRY FLEET OF 25 BULK AND CONTAINER VESSELS.
JOINING DATES ARE AT END OF MARCH 2027 & AT THE BEGGING OF APRIL 2027.
VESSEL DETAILS:
4 Newbuilding Bulk Carrier vessels comming in 2027/2028
10 Bulk Carrier vessels (2013 – 2017) with DWT from 38 000 to 62 000
15 Container vessels (2014 – 2025) with TEU capacity of 1700 to 2500
GROSS WAGES:
1st contract (5 or 6 months): $ 600/€ 500 month – potentially after 3rd year of graduation in Naval Academy or Technical University of Varna
2nd contract (5 or 6 months): $ 700/€ 600 month – potentially after 4th year of graduation in Naval Academy or Technical University of Varna
2nd contract (5 or 6 months) holding STCW A-II/4 (AB COP) or A-III/4 (MTM COP): $ 815/€ 700 month – potentially after 4th year of graduation in Naval Academy or Technical University of Varna
2nd contract (5 or 6 months) holding STCW A-II/7 (Sh. Electrician COP) or A-II/6 (ETO COC): $ 950/€ 825 month – potentially after 4th year of graduation in Naval Academy or Technical University of Varna
ERASMUS program is additionaly applicable for each joining Cadet. ITF agreements are covering all crew on NORD vessels.

- Safe Metrix Tests
- Online Interview
Provided you have passed all tests and interviews we offer employment
Your time on board:
- 2 x 5 or 6 months for all cadets (on Containers and Bulk Carriers)
- after receipt of your COC and provided promotion is approved:
- 4 – 8 weeks on board as promotion cadet (to familiarize with the vessel)
- =>promotion to 3/O or 4/E or JrETO
Prior Joining
Cadet letter provided from NORD which explains details about travelling to the vessel and your first days on board.
During your stay on board
Your designated shipboard training officer (C/O or 2/E) arranges your training and working plan and monitors your progress as well as your entries in the Training Record Book. Aside form the officers also the ratings participate on your Day-to-Day Training.
After signing off
Please send us your Feed-back about your contract using the cadet feedback form. Based on your performance during your first contract and next readiness date we plan your next assignment.

- Chose your contract length:
As Junior Officer: 4 +/- 1 month or 5 +/-1 month
As Senior Officer or Electrician: 3 +/-1 month or 4 +/-1 month
